“Wish the tour person on the bus could have told us there is beaches and swimming areas for family after the river. She told us to go explore other areas so we changed out to clothes from swimsuit to go checkout other areas. So hot and sticky so checkout areas in normal clothes. Then done in all areas in 3 hours. Ideally we could have stay at the swimming area. Go check out other places in between or toward the afternoon.”

“DO NOT BOOK!! Don’t get me wrong the sailing itself was beautiful and the crew was very nice, but the transportation to and from was HORRIBLE! Our driver was 15 min late, we then proceeded to sit on the side of the road for another 30 min waiting for another van to bring us passengers, so we ended up being late and started the excursion late and the crew didn’t make up for the missed time. When we left we were told we would be dropped off at 9pm, but didn’t arrive back until 9:45pm and missed our dinner reservation we planned for. Very unorganized and the transportation ruined the…”

The experience was authentic, and most importantly, a portion of the proceeds from the tour go towards a school for Mayan children to preserve the Mayan culture and language. Drink lots of water before you go. The sweat lodge - even though it's only 1/2 hour, is pretty warm.”

We started as a small group and then joined other groups bringing total to over 30 people. Transportation was late and guide seemed to lack knowledge there were a number of times we did not know what was going on”
